I,The plaintiffs filed suit against home construction providers, including the ap-pellee, seeking damages for alleged defects found in the construction of their home. The plaintiffs alleged that the appellee was responsible for the design and construction of the home’s foundation. The appellee filed exceptions of no cause of action and no right of action, asserting that the plaintiffs’ claims for structural defects existed solely against the “builder” pursuant to the Louisiana New Home Warranty Act. The trial court granted the exception of no cause of action. The plaintiffs appeal.…
