OPINION

BLISS, Presiding Judge:

Appellant, Joe Kenneth Riddle, hereinafter referred to as defendant, was charged and convicted in the District Court of Pon-totoc County, Case No. 4731, for the offense of Carry a Firearm After Conviction of a Felony. His punishment was fixed at two and one-half (2½) years imprisonment, and from said judgment and sentence, a timely appeal has been perfected to this Court.
