Proceeding pursuant to CPLR article 78 (transferred to this Court by order of the Supreme Court, entered in Albany County) to review a determination of respondent which found petitioner guilty of violating a prison disciplinary rule.

Petitioner was charged with violating the prison disciplinary rule that prohibits inmates from receiving compensation for providing legal assistance. The charges stemmed from an incident wherein another inmate’s mother sent petitioner a money order for $100 as compensation for providing legal assistance to her son.
