Defendant, Matthew Thompson, was charged by bill of information with simple burglary, a violation of LSA-R.S. 14:62. Defendant pled not guilty and, after a jury trial, was found guilty as charged. Defendant was sentenced to twelve years imprisonment at hard labor for his conviction of simple burglary.…
