The six defendants in this case were convicted on various charges arising from an attempted robbery of an armored truck. In an earlier opinion, we reversed their eonvic-tions based on the improper admission of evidence concerning prior firearms-related convictions. See United States v. Melvin, et al., 27 F.3d 703 (1st Cir.1994).
