STATEMENT OF THE CASE

Defendant-appellant, Mike Rector, appeals the Jasper Circuit Court's denial of his petition for post-conviction relief. We reverse and remand this case for proceedings consistent with this opinion.

STATEMENT OF THE FACTS

On July 7, 1983, following a trial by jury, Rector was sentenced to a total of 14 years imprisonment for conspiracy to deliver marijuana and two counts of delivery of marijuana.
