CROSS, Judge.

This case arose upon plaintiff-claimant’s claim for workmen’s compensation benefits, asserted on the ground that he had sustained back injuries as a result of an unusual and abnormal strain exerted while planting trees as an employee of defendant Kansas City, Missouri. After a hearing, the referee acting on behalf of the Division of Workmen’s Compensation made a temporary award of compensation in claimant’s favor.
