ADAMS, District Judge.

This action was brought by Luigi Capuc-cio, .the owner of the steamships Dora Baltea, Cerea and Soperga, to recover certain deductions made by Barber & Company, the charterer, in settling the accounts of the vessels between the parties. The controversies turn upon the construction to be given to the charter parties under which the steamers were operated by the respondent.
