The defendant appeals from a judgment of the Circuit Court of Buchanan County, following the verdict of the jury wherein he was found guilty of murder in the first degree, and his punishment assessed at imprisonment in the penitentiary for life. He was charged with killing, October 18 or 19, one John Les neski, known by the name of John Less, a police officer of the city of St. Joseph.
