George Sherrell Thompson, appellant, was convicted, in a bench trial, of possession of cocaine with the intent to distribute, in violation of Code § 18.2-248; possession of a firearm while possessing with the intent to distribute cocaine, in violation of Code § 18.2-308.4, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, in violation of Code § 18.2-308.2; carrying a concealed weapon, second offense, in violation of Code § 18.2-308, and possession of marijuana, in violation of Code § 18.2-250.1.
