Thompson, Justice.
Defendant Mohamad Omar Azizi was convicted of malice murder in connection with the death of his wife, Homaire Azizi. On appeal, his primary assertion is that the trial court erred in admit ting hearsay statements into evidence under the necessity exception to the hearsay rule. We agree that the admission of certain statements made by the victim to her lover was harmful error. Accordingly, we reverse.
