WEST, Chief Judge:

Edward Francis Crook, presently incarcerated on death row at Louisiana State Penitentiary, petitions this Court for a writ of habeas corpus. He was convicted by a jury of aggravated rape and was sentenced, on April 24, 1968, to death. He bases his petition on two grounds, (1) that his constitutional rights were violated by the introduction of evidence of a prior rape at his trial, and (2) that the jury which convicted him was chosen by a method which excluded veniremen for cause because they voiced general objections to the death penalty, in violation of…
