—Appeal by the defendant from a judgment of the Supreme Court, Queens County (Eng, J.), rendered December 14, 1999, convicting him of criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree and reckless endangerment in the first degree, upon a jury verdict, and imposing sentence.

Ordered that the judgment is affirmed.

Contrary to the defendant’s contentions, the trial court’s Batson ruling (see Batson v Kentucky, 476 US 79) properly acknowledged that the prosecution offered a nonpretextual, race-neutral explanation for its peremptory challenge to the prospective juror in controversy (see People v…
