This was an action on the case to recover damages fo r the killing of four horses, and the injury inflicted upon another, by the engine and cars of appellant, a few feet inside the western limits of the city of Belvidere. The accident occurred on October 18,1887, between the hours of eleven and twelve o’clock in the forenoon.
