On December 31, 1913, the respondent, as plaintiff, instituted an action in the superior court of Pierce county for a divorce against his wife, the present ap*75pellant. In his complaint the respondent alleged residence in the state for more than one year last past, but failed to allege that he resided in the county in which the action was instituted. As grounds for a divorce, he alleged facts tending to show cruel and inhuman treatment and personal indignities towards himself by his wife which rendered his life burdensome.
