The grounds for divorce a vinculo matrimonii in Maryland are prescribed by section 38 of article 16 of the Code of Public. General Laws. By chapter 396 of the Acts of 1937, that section was repealed and reenacted with an amendment which provided, as an additional ground for such a divorce, that it could be decreed: “When the husband and wife shall have voluntarily lived separate and apart, without any cohabitation, for five consecutive years prior to the filing of the bill of complaint, and such separation is beyond any reasonable expectation of reconciliation.” The appellee sued his wife for…
