The plaintiff, Peter D. Enrich, brought this product liability action for property damage sustained as a result of a fire he alleged was caused by an electric cooling fan distributed by the defendant, Windmere Corporation. The plaintiff asserted claims for negligence, breach of warranty, and violation of G. L. c. 93A (1992 ed.). Trial commenced before a jury in the Superior Court on the liability issues.
