This is an action of tort for personal injuries alleged to have resulted from the negligence of the defendant. The case was tried by a judge of the Superior Court and a jury. At the close of the plaintiff’s case the defendant rested and moved for a directed verdict in his favor. The motion was denied. He made twelve requests for instructions to the jury. Eight were denied in terms, but two of them were given in substance. The remaining six of the eight were as follows: “1.
