^STATEMENT OF CASE

On March 10, 2009, the defendant, Walter Black, was charged by bill of information with one count of aggravated battery, a violation of La. R.S. 14:34. The defendant pled not guilty. On May 8, 2009, the trial court denied the defendant’s motion to suppress the evidence and found probable cause. On June 3, 2009, a jury found the defendant guilty of second-degree battery.
