JENNEY, District Judge.

The bill of complaint in this case contains two causes of action, one asserting an infringement of copyright and the other claiming unfair competition. It alleges in substance the following: Plaintiff Leo A. Seltzer, a resident of Oregon, is the author of two copyrighted books, or dramatic compositions, which describe a roller-skating race. An exclusive license to stage this competitive event was granted by the author to plaintiff Transcontinental Roller Derby Association, Inc., an Indiana corporation.
