Union Gas Operating Company sued GB Tubulars, Inc. after the failure of an oil and gas well in which Union Gas used equipment purchased from GB Tubulars. Union Gas asserted numerous causes of action premised on the incident, including several theories of products liability, negligence, and breach of express and implied warranties. The jury found among other things that GB Tubulars breached an express warranty causing Union Gas to incur $3 million in damages.
