The Plaintiff, Mississippi Power & Light Company, is a Florida corporation doing business in Mississippi and is in the business of generating, selling and distributing electric current throughout a large area of North Mississippi, owning a statewide electric generating transmitting and distributing system covering, roughly, the Western half of the state of Mississippi, its system being an integrated unit embracing the generation, transmission and distribution of electricity as a public utility for hire.
