Rosen, J.:

This case is before us on remand from the United States Supreme Court for further proceedings not inconsistent with its opinion in Kansas v. Ventris, 556 U.S. 586, 173 L. Ed. 2d 801, 129 S. Ct. 1841 (2009).

The factual and procedural details of the case are fully set out in our opinion in State v. Ventris, 285 Kan. 595, 176 P.3d 920 (2008), and will not be restated here. We reversed Ventris’ convictions of aggravated robbery and aggravated burglaiy and remanded for a new trial, holding that the trial court committed reversible error when it admitted for impeachment purposes…
