This is an action of contract in which the plaintiff seeks to recover a balance alleged to be due for wages. The jury could have found that the defendant was in need of a man for the work which the plaintiff was employed to do; that its treasurer offered to employ him for a period of two years at a salary of $8,000 a year, $100 to be paid each week, the time for payment of the balance to be left to the decision of the treasurer; that the plaintiff accepted the offer by performing the work required.
