Walter Knox challenged his district court conviction for being in physical control of a vehicle while under the influence of intoxicants, appealing the case to superior court. In a memorandum decision, the superior court reversed the conviction, reasoning that the arresting officer had obtained evidence improperly. Fifty-one days later, the superior court entered an order reversing the conviction and remanding the matter to district court.
