*387 ¶ 1 Following a jury trial, defendant Marcus Jackson was found guilty of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver between 400 and 900 grams of heroin ( 720 ILCS 570/401(a)(1)(C) (West 2012) ). The trial court sentenced defendant to 12 years in prison. On appeal, defendant challenges the sufficiency of the evidence, contending that the State failed to prove he constructively possessed the heroin at issue.
