This appeal raises the question whether a cause of *203action pursuant to General Obligations Law § 11-100 can be maintained against a minor. Defendant Matthew Cycyk, who was 17 years of age at the time of the accident giving rise to this litigation, appeals from a judgment entered upon a jury verdict finding him liable for the injuries of Dawn Schrader. We conclude that General Obligations Law § 11-100 does authorize a cause of action against a minor but that the judgment against Cycyk should be reversed for other reasons.
