Holt County Attorney Travis County Austin, Texas Dear Sir: Opinion No. O-1840 Re: (1) Payment of poll taxes by an agent where the taxpayer resides in a city of ten thou- sand (10,000) inhabitants or more. (2) When, and under what cir- cumstances, a tax collector may issue a voting poll tax receipt to a taxpayer who has undertaken to pay his poll tax by mail.
