This was an action on the case begun in the Edwards Circuit Court by appellee against appellants and one George Bower. Upon the trial of the cause before the court and a jury appellant was found guilty as charged in the declaration and plaintiff’s damages were assessed at the sum of three dollars. The other defendant, George Bower, was found to be not guilty by the jury and a verdict so entered as to him The bill of exceptions shows that appellant Charles Churchill and the said George Bower were two of the directors of schools iu school district number one, township two, south range ten, east…
