■' A's the court points out, there is a presumption of innocence in favor of every defendant. Section 236 of the Code of Criminal Procedure provides as follows:. “Sec. 236.: — A defendant in a criminal action is presumed to be innocent until the contrary is proved, and in case of a reasonable doubt whether his guilt is satisfactorily shown, he is entitled to an acquittal. ”
