On March 12, 1973, defendant, Donald Dill, was convicted, pursuant to a guilty plea, of the offense of burglary and sentenced to 3 years’ probation. On July 31, 1973, defendant’s probation was revoked and defendant was sentenced to a l-to-4-year term of imprisonment. Defendant appeals from the- sentence imposed and raises two issues for resolution by this court: (1) Whether the trial court abused its discretion in sentencing defendant to a term, of imprisonment without affording defendant the opportunity to be sentenced under the provisions of the Illinois Dangerous Drug Abuse Act; and (2)…
