A Kalamazoo Circuit Court jury convicted defendant of assault with intent to commit great bodily harm less than murder, MCL 750.84; MSA 28.279, extortion, MCL 750.213; MSA 28.410, and two counts of possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, MCL 750.227b; MSA 28.424(2). Defendant appealed as of right and, in an unpublished order, entered December 22, 1992 (Docket No. 145054), we remanded this matter to the trial court for an evidentiary hearing.
