RIPPLE, Circuit Judge.
This is a direct appeal of a criminal conviction. After a jury trial, the defendant-appellant, Orlando Zapata, was found guilty of conspiracy to distribute cocaine, possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, and travel in interstate commerce to facilitate the illicit activity. See 21 U.S.C. §§ 841(a)(1), 846; 18 U.S.C. § 1952(a)(3). The district court sentenced the defendant to serve a total term of imprisonment of twenty years, followed by a special parole term of five years.
