These several actions, originally at law and subsequently transferred to the equity docket and consolidated, were heard and a judgment rendered against the appellants, of which they complain.

S. W. R. Owens resided in the county of Pike, and was the owner of the farm upon which he lived, alleged to have been of the value of $10,000. On the 22nd of March, 1878, he conveyed this -land to the appellant, Ferguson, for the sum of $6,000, and the latter subse*152quently conveyed it to Weddington.
