Appellant Jarrett, a manufacturers’ representative for electronic and related products and owner of Jarrett Engineering Sales, employed appellee Hamilton as a sales representative under an employment agreement which included, inter alia, a restrictive covenant purporting to prohibit competition with Jarrett within a certain geographical area and within a certain time span following the termination of the employer-employee relationship, should such occur.
