Russell S. Pittman was arrested on March 17,1995, and subsequently charged with violation of a protection order, a Class II misdemeanor, and possession of a short shotgun, a Class IV felony. The charges were later amended to include a Class II felony, attempted kidnapping, and a Class III felony, possession of a deadly weapon during commission of a felony, to wit: attempted kidnapping.
