OPINION OF THE COURT
MALLOY, Judge:
The appellant was tried by a general court-martial in a mixed plea case before a military judge sitting alone. Consistent with his pleas, he was convicted of one specification of absence without leave (AWOL),1 one specification of wrongfully using methamphetamine, and one specification of wrongfully using marijuana, in violation of Articles 86 and 112a, UCMJ, 10 U.S.C. §§ 886, 912a.
