The plaintiff, Stringer Construction Company, Inc. (Stringer), 1 brought an action against the Chicago Housing Authority (CHA) seeking reimbursement for the costs of extra materials and labor expended in the construction of a housing project for senior citizens. Following a jury trial, the jury returned a verdict in favor of the plaintiff and awarded $334,813.25 in damages.
