These are cross-appeals from a judgment entered in favor of the plaintiff, Ramon Rodriguez Colon, and against the defendant, Waterman Steamship Corporation, in the United States District Court for the District of Puerto Rico in a civil action brought to recover damages for personal injuries sustained by the plaintiff, a longshoreman in the employ of a stevedoring company which was engaged in unloading cargo from defendant’s vessel while lying in the port of San Juan.
