MOISE, Justice.

This is an original proceeding wherein petitioner seeks habeas corpus to effect his release from the custody of the sheriff of Chaves County. The record discloses that petitioner is a minor who was adjudged to come within the Juvenile Code of New Mexico, in that he violated §§ 40A-16-1 and 40A-16-3, N.M.S.A.1953; was made a ward of the court until he reaches the age of twenty-one, or until the further order of the court, and was ordered committed to…
