¶ 1. The petitioner, State of Wisconsin, seeks review of a published decision of the court of appeals that reversed the defendant's conviction on three counts of sexual assault of a child.1 The State asserts that the court of appeals wrongfully interpreted State v. Davis, 2002 WI 75, 254 Wis. 2d 1, 645 N.W.2d 913, as "compelling" the admission of the defendant's proffered Richard A.P.2 evidence, which compared the personality characteristics of the defendant with the personality characteristics of known sex offenders.
