Fredinand Woodruff appeals his convictions and sentences for bank robbery, in violation of 18 U.S.C. § 2113(a), two counts of armed robbery, in violation of 18 U.S.C. § 1951, also known as the Hobbs Act, and two counts of using or carrying a firearm during the commission of a violent crime, in violation of 18 U.S.C. § 924(c). On appeal, Woodruff argues that (1) the indictment’s Hobbs Act charges were defective because they failed to allege criminal intent; (2) there was insufficient evidence of a nexus between the robberies and interstate commerce to warrant federal…
