The plaintiff was sworn and examined as a witness in bis own bebalf, and gave testimony tending to prove a compliance witb the terms of the contract, and, among other things, that be was the inventor of the improved wire and slat fabric weaving machine mentioned in the contract, and that he bad procured the patent therefor — 3sTo-. 600,269 — mentioned in the complaint.
