This is a petition brought under Gr. L. c. 71, § 34,1 to determine the deficiency in the amount appropriated by the respondent town of Bridgewater (town) to operate the high school in the school district of which the town is a member and to order the town and certain of its officials *291to provide to the district “a sum of money equal to such deficiency, together with a sum equal to twenty-five percent thereof.” The respondents filed a demurrer.
