In August 2002, a jury found the defendant, Ramona Washington, guilty of first-degree murder (720 ILCS 5/9 — 1(a)(1) (West 2000)). The trial court sentenced the defendant to a prison term of 20 years. The defendant appeals her conviction, raising four issues, only two of which we address: (1) whether the trial court erred in admitting evidence regarding the scheduled polygraph examination and (2) whether the trial court erred in denying her motion to quash her arrest and suppress statements.
