{¶ 1} In May 2003,16 civil rights lawsuits pending in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Ohio involving 22 plaintiffs, 44 individual defendants, and the city of Cincinnati were settled by establishing a qualified settlement fund1 of $4.5 million through the United States District Court for the Southern District of Ohio.
