The complaint alleges that on or about September 17th, 1877, defendants executed their promissory note of that date fo,r $439.45, with interest from date at the rate of two per cent, per month until paid, payable on op before October 10th, to the plaintiff or ofcder; that defendants never paid said sum of money or any part thereof either when the same became due, or at any time since then, and plaintiff prays judgment for $439.45, with interest at two per cent, per month from September 17th, 1877, and for costs of suit.
