The defendant in ^ error brought an action of ejectment in the court below to recover the possession of certain premises situate at Black Rock in the county of Erie, bought in by the President of the Insurance and Loan Company, on the 27th August, 1834, at a sale by virtue of a foreclosure of a mortgage, executed by the defendant to the Company, and for the amount of the bid made by the president, the master took the receipt of the company.
