In State v. Cain, 224 N.J. 410, 133 A.3d 619 (2016), we determined that in drug-distribution cases, an expert’s opinion on the defendant’s state of mind — whether the defendant possessed drugs with the intent to distribute' — encroaches on the exclusive domain of the jury as trier of fact.
