GOTHARD, Judge.

This matter arises from a claim of forgery by plaintiff. From a judgment in favor of the plaintiff, the defendant, First National Bank of Jefferson Parish (FNJ), appeals. We affirm.

Plaintiff, Vivian Johansen, filed suit against FNJ asserting the bank issued and cashed a forged cheek in the amount of $5,000.00 and deducted that amount from her certificate of deposit. She testified that on January 16, 1992 she entered the Marrero branch of the bank with her certificate of deposit for the purpose of withdrawing $2,000.00. She was told at that time that her balance was $5,000.00…
